History of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust was founded in 2015 by Steve Saka. Steve’s work began in 2000 when he worked directly with Lew Rothman, the former CEO of JR Cigar, as an executive consultant. In 2005 Steve became the president of Drew Estate and then grew into CEO until 2013. 

After some time, Steve Saka fulfilled his long-time dream of creating the family-held Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust company.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust starts with a significant focus on the fields that grow tobacco. It is fertile land with nutrients from the sun and rain and is maintained by the crafty, hard-working hands of farmers. Along with having their own fields, Dunbarton works closely with farmers all over the world to create special hybrid tobacco seeds only for Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust. 

After growing and harvesting, each black tobacco leaf is handled with care to create the best cigars possible. The cigars are handmade after the tobacco leaves have aged over time. 

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust works with dedicated teams at the legendary Joya de Nicaragua, S.A. and Nicaragua American Cigar, S.A. factories to roll the cigars with consistency and precision.
